BORROWED LIGHT STUDIO
AN ARCHIVE OF OBSERVATIONS
Borrowed Light Studio is an archive of observations — a growing collection of photographs concerned with atmosphere, light, texture, memory and the quiet geometry of everyday life.
I am interested less in documenting what a place looks like than in how it feels to inhabit it: the trace of light across an old wall, a fragment glimpsed through a window, an object worn by time, a landscape dissolving into movement.
My photographs move between abstraction and observation, using whatever visual language the subject calls for — from intentional camera movement and long exposures to intimate details, shallow focus and compressed perspectives.
The work is not bound to a particular technique. What connects the photographs is an underlying sensibility: quiet, atmospheric, tactile and slightly removed from the literal.
Borrowed Light Studio is ultimately an ongoing study of seeing — an archive of fragments collected from the spaces, light and moments that would otherwise pass unnoticed.
